Thank goodness I don't think Gabe can climb out of his cot; the sides are too high. Yay on him walking though! It is so nice to be able to put Gabe down and let him run a bit.
I am 16 weeks with #2; I don't have another appointment until the day after Easter - you are right, it seems forever away - should hear the heartbeat then as will be nearly 18 weeks. Then have scan 3 weeks after that. Looking forward to finding out if this one is pink or blue! I am hoping pink, but don't have a strong feeling either way. Baby is moving lots. Wish Gabe and DH could feel it, but they will in another couple months.
I imagine Lauren is back in Oz now, though haven't heard much on how she, Max, and her #2 are doing.
I think we are going to start potty training Gabe around Easter. I would like to get a head start on it, so if we can at least be daytime trained by the time this one is born, that would be wonderful. Not much else going on here.
Well, Gabe says some things often and well, (kitty cat for example), but really isn't a full fledged talker - yet. Now, he does shake his head no and nod yes really well, and will grab your hand when he wants to go somewhere, and I think that is a good start for what is needed for potty-training.
going to take it slow, after easter will just bring him with me to the potty every time I go - honestly he follows us in there every time anyway - (and as a pregnant woman, that is often enough!), and have him sit on his, just to get used to it. I think once he actually pees or poos in it, he will make the connection and we will step it up from there. Thankfully he is not afraid of the big potty and loves to flush it.
It feels like it has been forever since I had a doctor's appointment, the next one is still 10 days away.
Glad Alfie is staying in his cot. I haven't room for a big boy bed, else Gabe would likely already be in one. He does stand up and cry when I leave the room sometimes, but only his nose and brow come over the top of the sides, so I don't think he is ready to be climbing out yet.
Hope that means good things are to come... EASTER!!!
Yay, so cannot wait this year.. we are heading camping again to Innot Hot Springs.. Lovely place (apparently) we have never been there (our family) but the friends we are going with this year go every Easter and love it... Kids and ride their motor bikes till their lil hearts content and they have natural hot springs we "adults" can relax in.. and maybe a few wines lol... Ill take lots of pictures...
I had to go to my GP yesterday and had to have my pinky nail ripped off...
I was putting linen away in my closet and with my right hand, i pushed the towels down and put the others on top with my left hand. My left slipped and smashed the back on the closet wall and ripped my acrylic nail right back to the nail bed...
everything else is all good but...
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!
Skye & Chelsea xx
My goodness Skye, that does sound like it hurt! hope it heals quickly and well.
