Since we've had our allotment we have 2 large compost bins and try to compost as much as we can including a neighbours rabbit bedding when it's cleaned out.
I would guess that about a quarter of what we use to put in the bin now goes on the compost (that doesn't include waste from the garden) and just before winter sets in we have loads of lovely soil to put on the beds.
So does anyone else compost?

No I've thought about it but tbh we only have a small amount of actual garden so it's not worth it. If I knew someone who could use it I'd happily donate.
My parents had a wormery a few years back that was great as you get liquid compost from that.
No, hate gardening with a passion!

We have a wormery. We put a lot of the veg waiste in it. We also put a lot of the shredded paper in it. No way anyone's getting DH's bank details! A lot of our green waiste goes into the recycling bags that the council provide and collect. That includes all the leftovers from the stick insects. We had quite a bit of compost this year. Enough to plant quite a few bits and bobs in the garden.
I got a composter free from the council a few years ago. We compost what we can and it gets dug back into my veg patch.
I shred the paperwork ! No need for worms lol
I cant stand gardening either Ursh!
