The last time we did these we made them with Quality Street

Millie’s Cookies

125g butter, softened
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
225g self-raising flour
½ tsp salt
200g chocolate chips

cream butter and sugars, add egg and vanilla, sift in flour and salt, then choc chips.
180°C, gas mark 4 for 10 or so minutes (leave room for spreading and be sure to make sure they don’t get too overdone, just starting to get some tan colour to them is about right)

Pardon my ignorance (novice chef writing here!), what do you mean that you meade them with Quality Street? Add whole chocs instead of the choc chips? And which Quality Street? Wouldn't work with some of them would it? And are they chopped in to pieces?

Hi Leeds Smile

yes chop them up and either mix them or make individual ones which ever you prefer

Yes polly the triangle one are great as are all the hard ones...our favourite is the toffee finger.

don't bother with the cremes...yuk they were horrible and messy to chop

and the purple one and the caramel swirl...yum!

we make cookies with anything....rolos are nice, white chocolate and raspberry, anything you fancy!

I'm getting quite a few baking ideas on MC tonight. I hope that transfers into action in the kitchen!! May try these cookies with Rolos, as won't have QS until a bit closer to Xmas. Will remember the choccie fingers though, as long as they survive!

OK, have moved from reading and thinking to writing a shopping list!!

Do you need 200g of Rolos, as this seems like a lot to me?! Not that I would have any problem getting rid of any surplus ..............
