Monday Monday;

Am I really the first person to start a daily today?  How slack - must be nearly the Summer holidays!

I have spent today driving around really - YD's b'f to the station, SS to work, me to doctors - finally getting to work.  I have a stack to do this morning, and it's about to be this afternoon.

Sunny though Smile

I've just got home too, did the usual school run, then had to take my mum to a couple of hospital appointments.  Home now for an hour or so then it will be time for the school run again.

I had a friend pop in for coffee, then went off to have my hair cut & had a natter in there as well. Then the boiler man turned up to fix our leaky boiler £103 later... eekkk, but we have hot water now & YD's bed isn't being sprinkled everytime a tap turns on!

I've applied for a couple more jobs today & now I feel the need to lay down...lol.

xx

I got 'bogged down' this morning with C, then had breakfast out with hubby then went shopping for something to wear to a wedding, tried to meet up with a TSR member but she got 'bogged down' with ferrying her son to and from various schools

Heh that was me!

By the time I was leaving A's current school it was 1.30, so by the time I'd have gotten to the town, parked and along for coffee we'd not have had time to let it cool to drink it before you'd have had to go. Pity.

Al is doing a transition program at the moment and he is doing really really well- but one thing is standing out and that's homework... he'll write it down and then when he gets home hasn't a clue what he has to do. Like for example the first week he had a piece of writing, and the homework was to 'take it up to level 6'. Well Alex got home and then thought eh? There aren't 6 floors at my school??? Then when I told him it meant level 6 as in attainment, and he needed to make it more interesting with adjectives and the like he could do it (he got a level 4 so naturally he thinks he has failed...) but this kind of thing is happening most dys so its clearly an issue for him (I'm dealing with it)

anyway the issue today was that he had some group work to do and he was added to a group but Al just can't do that on his own, autistic child, the whole working as a group concept needs supporting. so Alex has been getting more and more muddled and ended up in floods last night because he was convinced he was going to get a detention and that T and L would hate him and his 'reputation would be ruined forever' (lol) So I went in first thing and spoke to the senco (who was, oddly, slightly defensive, it was... weird... oh well its early days, we will come to an understanding I am sure). By lunchtime she'd obviously worked her magic though, and the group convened in the library with a TA to bash together a plan and I sat in recep for 50 mins twiddling my thumbs, and not drinking coffee as i had planned to.

Ho hum!

Other than that, I've spent most of the day sewing! Oh and my garlic is ready (small, but ready) and we had the first one tonight in couscous, omg it was delicious!

Yep, blooming sons and my blooming son has self harmed again, watched by 4 staff who thought he was napping because he'd bent his head down, oh and it's only a couple of scratches and they aren't bad. I think I might make an appointment for the teacher to see an optician and learn to count. There are lots more than 2 and a few of them are very deep

There must of been something in the air as Es has lost his new coat ( a couple of weeks ago and failed to tell me) he was off on his school trip and was going to take his winter coat rather than tell me.
Then YS got "eatened" at school by another child. It drew blood but they are sorting it and I am happy to let them deal with it.
