What an absolute nightmare!   I think our grannies had the right idea about having a stash under the mattress.

I hope you manage to get something sorted today love.

I can't believe they can sort out nat west and rbs within a few days yet ulster bank is a lot smaller and they're saying it maybe at least another week.  Makes you think how you never notice you rely on computers so much now.

The latest on this is that they may sort out Ulster bank by the 16th july. And that's still a MAY.

How frustrating for people going for nearly 4 weeks without access to your bank account.

i can't beleive that the problems are still dragging on with Ulsterbank, its totally and utterly unacceptable. i really do feel for your people in Norn Iron who can't use your bank accounts.

Some prat from Ulsterbank wrote:
customers would not lose money as a result of the problems.

"Our intention is that customers - it doesn't matter whether it's Ulster Bank or other banks' customers - won't be out of pocket as a result of this incident,"

i really think they ought to be considering some form of monetary compensation. How many people are suffering financially as a result of this, and taking black marks on their credit records, etc?

Well as every penny has gone missing from my ISA they better have it sorted within 2 weeks. When I asked where my money had gone I was told they don't know but I'd get it back eventually... My current account and savings are a mess I've no idea where I stand with them, they've paid my direct debits twice not credited any lodgements and are deciding what you can withdraw!
They won't allow me access to the Los accounts to see what's happening there because they've a different surname than me and they don't have photo Id to check their own accounts, they're 3 & 4!
Only thing worse than being an ulster bank customer is being a customer from a different bank & having your wages paid from an ulster bank account as you've no chance of getting any money from your account.

Ive no faith that it'll be sorted by the 16th especially with the 12th & 13th being a bank holiday here.  Schools are finished here so most people are heading off and can't get their money it's beyond a joke. There's no compensation claim forms as of yet but I can't see there being any either.

I'm amazed it's rumbled on so long and definitely they should pay some compenstaion for the inconvenience and hardship this is causing customers.

I heard a staistic that you are more likely to get divorced than to change your bank account in your lifetime.   I wonder just how many people will vote with their feet and switch because of this?

I hear it's much easier to switch accounts than it used to be, and some banks even offer you money to do so (subject to terms and conditions of course!)
