Have you found out which school your son/ daughter is going to?
I've received my letter today and YD is joining ED at the primary school. I am really relieved as the school received a large number of applications for the entry in September and we are out of area for the school too. So one very happy mum and one very exctied little girl in this house today!!

Thanks Jobi!
Yes. (He says looking around confused.)
We found out the same time the Secondary places went out - 1 March I think. And I don't think continued interest is determined until May?
Ho hum, I guess different places.
But yes, we were mightily relieved that YD got a place at the same school as ED.
That's good news, and you can recycle some of ED's uniform too!
Must be different areas Daedy! Our LA sent the letters out this week - and I've never heard of continued interest?
But better late than never...... pleased you got the place for YD that you wanted!
Continued interest (in Oxfordshire) is about the (small) changes that take place after allocation - because after allocation some people may have moved away or not want the place allocated for whatever reason. So, after getting the allocation letter, you have to respond (in about 4 weeks I think it was - we responded the next day
) saying you want the place or not - then after about 2 months they try to sort out if people really wanted school A but had been allocated school B and now there's a space at A becuase all those allocated to A haven't taken it up. And that's called 'continued interest'.
PS meant to say, glad you got the school you wanted.
Great news Kom, so pleased for you and YD
Great news, Kom!
Fab news Kom, I bet she's really pleased.
We found out at the start of Feb and CI closed at the end of March. O got into our tiny and heavily subscribed primary school which was great cos the alternative was a huge great sprawling place attached to a high school.
Happy for you all and your kiddiwinks. x
