This is a popular thread on a French parenting forum I go on a lot.
Out with you shameful mother secrets and habits !!!
Today I'm tired and a little lazy, so we're all in pyjamas.
While I gave the baby a bottle this morning I stuck on a dvd (in the midnight garden, intellectual stuff) just to have some peace and quiet
Of course I will do no housework, just the washing up

I remember an article on that very thing from the old, old place! Seems to be quite common these days. No-one ever came to school in PJ's when mine were at primary. I would never have either!
I don't think I've got too many shameful secrets, by the way a pj day and no housework sounds fine to me too!

Sorry AG, this sounds pretty standard on a weekend for me........ and I'm not shamed by it!!
TBH I can't think of anything that I would class as a shameful mummy secret. There are events that happen when I look back and don't like the way that I have handled things - but I tend to just work harder at not loosing my temper etc etc.
See AG that isn't shameful. It's normal.
It's just meant to be a bit of fun
I know.
I wish i could do pyjama days mid week, i love wearing pjs!!
I picked up the boys from school a few weeks ago and a mum was in her pjs!!!
I wouldn't actually go out dressed like this. I haven't even stepped outside to look in my letterbox today.
And if we're all sitting around like that today its because Number1 is at home and not at the child minders. I like it when he goes to the child minders - I get a rest !
When Emily is not well she likes to stay in her jammies all day and get on the sofa with a duvet and watch girly movies with me. I will admit to, one more than one occasion, pretending I don't feel too well either so I can stay in my jammies!! DH falls for it EVERY time and waits on us both hand and foot!!

my shameful secret? Oven chips and chicken nuggets when I can't be ar**d to cook. Bung it in the oven and dish it up - not exactly five a day!
