Morning,

Couldnt sleep last night, was worrying after the was a loud bang, I mean the house shook.  Ran out and checked everything.  Turns out this morning there was a gas explosion not too far away.  Things you find out from your childrens facebook.  I swore someone had attacked the house.

Its totally pouring it down here but on the plus side its slightly warmer.  Need to pop out later and pick up some coal and turf and do some shopping.  I may even attempt to drive...

It's freezing here. Snow due after dark so the kids and Dh are hopeful that it will be enough to play in.

Going to town this morning and meeting my sis there is a fundraiser fayre for the local hospice (where my Dad died) so we are off to support it.

Got the slightest smattering of snow here. And if anyone wants any travel information.... I've had information for southereastern courtesy of hubby, highways courtesy of ExH and council courtesy of me....lol.

YD is cleaning out the rabbit & guinea pig, OH is parked in front of the PS3. I've got to shorten a couple of pairs of school trousers. Nothing too exciting.

A few lonley flakes here, though our forecast is for sleet rather than snow which is pants.

Football called off after pitch inspection yesterday, given the temperature I'm not as upset over that as I would normally be.   I'm picked ED up from work at 1pm, she doesn't normally work Saturdays but they wre offering silly money for overtime so she couldn't turn it down.

I'm going to the pub later this afternoon, bottle of wine and a Wetherspoons nosh up.  Classy.

We've only had a couple of flakes too.  Very dull.

YD is at work, SS is going to his mates to play football, and ED is recovering from a night watching 'Chas n Status' (I'm guessing at the spelling, but they played the UEA last night).

OH is building a shed in the garden, and I am avoiding trying to make my HMRC returns work.   I hate technology.

The gas explosion sounds awful Jac.

No snow, which means hubby can work, but the brats are upset. Shopping later, we have no bread, butter or milk. You can tell ES is home

No snow here either but it is very windy. Just about to get dressed. I got up and ended up emptying and reloading the dishwasher, emptying and reloading the washing machine, hanging up several loads of washing and moving a load of ironing so getting out of my pjs hasn't quite happened. The girls are at the church this afternoon so I will go and do a big shop then. Apart from that it'll just be housework today.

Apparently there are severe weather warnings for round here later according t my visitors this morning come to see their kittens... they came extra early so as not to catch it. (two and a half hour journey) Naturally I was in the bath. Fortunately I had already cleaned up.

Alex and I have cleaned out the brick shed today ready for delivery of another shed on Monday which will eventually grace the allotment. It SHOULD fit inside. I shall have a conniption if it does not!

Other than that, we have soup defrosting for lunch, no idea as to what kind as naturally I didn't label it hehe, and then beans (ones that we grew! Whoop!) bubbling for a savoury veg and bean crumble at teatime. Real winter warmer food. Probably I shan't do much for the rest of today other than that but read and chill out with kittens. And hope it doesn't snow.
