Turned out he needed 4 not 2 new tyres, ouch

M&W bowled, C went on a shooting game and hubby took calls and answered texts and completely ignored us. If he didn't need the phone for work I'd have taken it off him and thrown it across the bowling alley - esp as only one text was work related and non of the calls were

Our plane arrived home at 5am this morning, it was freezing and torrential rain/flooding. After 2 weeks of temps around 40 degrees it was a horrible shock to the system, though not as bad as arriving home to find our villages water has been turned off so the long awaited cuppa hasn't been had and worse we can't turn the heating on. It's 10degrees here so everyone is frozen.

Jacqui that doesn't sound like a very useful family outing!  I have the other problem - OH won't take a mobile anywhere when we are together, so the kids and everyone else in the world have to phone me instead...

Hopeful I swear you live in the arctic!

Where have you returned from?

I have only realised this week just how miserable DD1 was at primary school. She has come in from school smiling since she started high school because she is no longer hanging around with the girls she had ended up stuck with at primary. I am not sure about one of the girls she has befriended but today she made me proud. The other girl came to her attention on day 1 because she is one of a large number of children whose lunch cards haven't come through and because the girl is entitled to free lunches it has meant she hasn't always had lunch. Today she only had a packet of crisps so DD1 gave her part of her panini.
We are getting back into the normal school routine and next week all the girls' activities start up.

Corris we were in Bulgaria for two weeks, the heat was utter bliss. I really wasn't born to live in such a cold wet country.
