I don't drive but use the bus a lot. But now have started walking to places, Also don't buy crisps and biscuits very often and rarely have a take away.
My in laws have started to use the bus more. They get cheaper fares because they are OAPs, and reckon it is cheaper for them to go to town on the bus because they don't have to pay parking, and the bus takes them closer to the town centre than being in the car park.
Peppers! I love peppers, but at nearly £2 for a 3 pack these days or nearly £1 for a single pepper I can't justify buying them often whereas before I could get through 2 or more multipacks a week. Stufffed peppers one say, stir fry another, houmus and dips a third and the supply soon goes.
I sometimes get a value pack, but they are often mostly green, and I'm not too keen on the green ones, Plus I grow my own and they are mostly green because they are outdoors of course, I don't have a coldframe (maybe next year though!!!!!)
I do buy them in the autumn, when they are often 2 for 1 AND red yellow and orange to boot, and chop and freeze them, but i've used up my autumn supply now.
Slightly off topic but EB, you know Wilkinsons are doing a 4 tier one for £10!I'm getting one tomorrow, will make do until I can afford (justify) the one I've fallen in love with x
We live quite simply so not a lot to go without, except visiting friends and impromptu camping trips/ryanair flights to Norway. I suspect those too will be less frequent this year.
I have told ED that if she won't practise her music I will stop the lessons, but it has made her practise really well recently so I can't make a saving there.
Oh I have two blowaways (one is broken but I'm still going to use it lol) and will be growing peppers in them but I mean a polytunnel. On my allotment. The ones that cost hundreds of pounds lol. But I am sorely tempted at that price... £10 eh?
Corris we don't have any local greengrocers *cry* they have all disappeared. Usually when a Tesco has opened next to them. I think the number of Tescos in this town, small and large, is now in double figures...
We have a farmers market 20 mins drive away, but the drive then becomes uneconomical and its not a way I usually go.
We have a series of four Skills Builders activity books for 10 winners. Each series is valued at £18 and winners can select the series they require (Year 3-Year 6).
Enter the magical world of the Lala-Oopsies™ in a brand new movie starring all new characters. We have ten copies of the DVD to give away, worth £9.99 each, plus each winner will also receive one mini Lalaloopsy doll.
I do
So good on you! It really would never have occured to me. But it will now!
I am about to buy a whole shed load of magazines (DD's spa party), so will make sure to share them with the surgery!

Is the bus cheap to use jalo?
I know that's dreadful and I should know, but I drive, so apart from the park and ride I don't catch them.

When I had the greengrocers Beth I sold ones with soft spots for 10p. Worth asking your local greengrocer if you have one...
