KS2

At the beginning of KS2, aged 7 or 8, your child moves from infants to juniors, and in their last four years at primary school their life revolves around friends and after-school hobbies.
KS2 English is all about handwriting, spelling and punctuation, and your child will be developing into a fluent, confident reader. In KS2 maths there will be an emphasis on mental maths, but your child will also be taught to use a calculator. Times tables and tricky spelling will need to be learnt by heart, but there are ways to make it fun. Try games, puzzles and activities to turn boring into brilliant!
