Important update from TheSchoolRun
For the past 13 years, TheSchoolRun has been run by a small team of mums working from home, dedicated to providing quality educational resources to primary school parents. Unfortunately, rising supplier costs and falling revenue have made it impossible for us to continue operating, and we’ve had to make the difficult decision to close. The good news: We’ve arranged for another educational provider to take over many of our resources. These will be hosted on a new portal, where the content will be updated and expanded to support your child’s learning.
What this means for subscribers:
- Your subscription is still active, and for now, you can keep using the website as normal — just log in with your usual details to access all our articles and resources*.
- In a few months, all resources will move to the new portal. You’ll continue to have access there until your subscription ends. We’ll send you full details nearer the time.
- As a thank you for your support, we’ll also be sending you 16 primary school eBooks (worth £108.84) to download and keep.
A few changes to be aware of:
- The Learning Journey weekly email has ended, but your child’s plan will still be updated on your dashboard each Monday. Just log in to see the recommended worksheets.
- The 11+ weekly emails have now ended. We sent you all the remaining emails in the series at the end of March — please check your inbox (and spam folder) if you haven’t seen them. You can also follow the full programme here: 11+ Learning Journey.
If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you for being part of our journey it’s been a privilege to support your family’s learning.
*If you need to reset your password, it will still work as usual. Please check your spam folder if the reset email doesn’t appear in your inbox.
Getting started with the 11 Plus Summer Programme
Hello!
If you've subscribed because you want to start your child on our 11+ Summer Programme here's all the information you need.
Each weekday, starting Monday 4th July 2022, you'll receive an email from us with tips and tricks from 11+ experts as well as links to download an English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning exercise to work through with your child that day.
Make sure you are logged into the site and then click on the links in the email to go straight to the worksheet on the site. Click the download button and your worksheets will download in PDF format.
The programme runs for nine weeks. If you've missed the start of the course, don't worry – we'll tell you how to catch up on the exercises you've missed below.
What to do this week
- Download the Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning introduction pack.
- Visit the 11+ hub and read through our 11+ articles for loads of information about how to help your child prepare, as well as an area-by-area guide to the test format.
- Watch out for the 11+ emails, which will land in your inbox from Monday 5th July 2021 (you might want to add [email protected] to your safe senders list to ensure it hits your inbox: find out how).
- Add the complete 11+ programme to your saved resources and then you can keep track of your child's progress. Find out more about how to save resources.
If you've missed the beginning of the programme...
Go directly to the 11+ programme on the site and start working through the exercises in order (the first four exercises make up day 1 of the programme, the second four exercises are day 2 and so on). When you get the 11+ email tomorrow, you'll be able to see where we are up to in the programme. Try to find time to catch up on any exercises you've missed.
