TheSchoolRun.com closure date

As we informed you a few months ago, TheSchoolRun has had to make the difficult decision to close due to financial pressures and the company has now ceased trading. We had hoped to keep our content available through a partnership with another educational provider, but this provider has since withdrawn from the agreement.

As a result, we now have to permanently close TheSchoolRun.com. However, to give subscribers time to download any content they’d like to keep, we will keep the website open until 31st July 2025. After this date, the site will be taken down and there will be no further access to any resources. We strongly encourage you to download and save any resources you think you may want to use in the future.

In particular, we suggest downloading:

You should already have received 16 primary school eBooks (worth £108.84) to download and keep. If you haven’t received these, please contact us at [email protected] before 31st July 2025, and we will send them to you.

We are very sorry that there is no way to continue offering access to resources and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

KS2 SATs Grammar, punctuation and spelling practice paper E

KS2 SATs Grammar, punctuation and spelling TheSchool Run practice paper E
Practise the grammar, punctuation and spelling skills required for the KS2 SATs test with your child with our 'mock' papers. Written in the style of the KS2 Grammar, punctuation and spelling test, the practice papers offer at-home revision opportunities for children taking the Y6 tests in May.
Keystage:  KS2, Year 6

Since 2016, children in Year 6 have taken new SATs exams in English and maths to reflect the 2014 National Curriculum. These mock papers, available exclusively for TheSchoolRun subscribers, are based on the old SATs format and content, but can still be used to give your child valuable exam practice.

For more information about the new grammar test read our parents' guide to the KS2 Grammar, punctuation and spelling SATs.

How to use the SPAG test practice papers

These practice tests have been written to include a variety of question types and cover all of the areas of grammar and punctuation that primary children are required to master.

Allow your child to complete the tests in a quiet room without any help. If possible, time the test and allow them around 30 minutes to complete the grammar and punctuation section. The spelling section should take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will require you to read out each sentence twice with emphasis placed on the underlined word. Look in the answer section for the transcript for each spelling test.

Answers and marking sheets are provided to help you look through your child's work and identify any areas they find tricky.

You can download four further practice tests, exclusive to TheSchoolRun subscribers, to help your child prepare for the KS2 Grammar, punctuation and spelling test at home; click on the images below to go to each individual test.
