TheSchoolRun.com closure date
As we informed you a few months ago, TheSchoolRun has had to make the difficult decision to close due to financial pressures and the company has now ceased trading. We had hoped to keep our content available through a partnership with another educational provider, but this provider has since withdrawn from the agreement.
As a result, we now have to permanently close TheSchoolRun.com. However, to give subscribers time to download any content they’d like to keep, we will keep the website open until 31st July 2025. After this date, the site will be taken down and there will be no further access to any resources. We strongly encourage you to download and save any resources you think you may want to use in the future.
In particular, we suggest downloading:
- Learning packs
- All the worksheets from the 11+ programme, if you are following this with your child
- Complete Learning Journey programmes (the packs below include all 40 worksheets for each programme)
You should already have received 16 primary school eBooks (worth £108.84) to download and keep. If you haven’t received these, please contact us at [email protected] before 31st July 2025, and we will send them to you.
We are very sorry that there is no way to continue offering access to resources and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Optional SATs papers: Y3 maths 2006
Optional SATs papers were used by teachers in some schools prior to 2016 to assess children's progress at the end of the school year.
Since 2016, a new style of SATs paper has reflected the updated National Curriculum. This download comprises the 'old-style' optional SATs papers, but is still useful for exam practice. It includes all the papers and marking schemes for the Y3 maths optional SATs for 2006.
This pack includes:
- Y3 maths SATs 2006 paper 3a (levels 2-3)
- Y3 maths SATs 2006 paper 3b (levels 3-4)
- Mental maths pupil answer sheet
- Mental maths test transcript
- Mark scheme, paper 3a
- Mark scheme, paper 3b
All the papers and marking materials have been merged into one easy download.
Paper 3a or Paper 3b?
A choice of two test papers is available, depending on your child's ability (some of the questions are the same for both papers). If your Y3 child is working at or below an average level for Year 3 they should complete Paper 3a. If your child is confident about maths and would benefit from an extra challenge they should take Paper 3b. For more about understanding SATs results read our parents' guide.
Official SATs in KS1 and KS2
You'll find answers to all your questions about SATs in Y2 in Your KS1 SATs questions answered. To download Year 6 official SATs papers, and read about how the Y6 tests are changing and find out more about the KS2 Grammar, punctuation and spelling test read our information about KS2 SATs.
