A platinum jubilee typically refers to a 70th anniversary celebration. The word jubilee means a special anniversary or celebration, and is often used in the context of royal or religious events. Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her platinum jubilee in 2022, which marked her 70th year as queen. 

How did people celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee?

People celebrated in many different ways. Some had street parties and jubilee lunches – decorations were made, cake was eaten and music was played! There was a big concert held at Buckingham Palace and many other impressive events throughout the UK.
